Charlotte C. Moser, 98, of Columbus, NE died Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus, NE.
She was born in Howells, NE October 10, 1911 to William and Katherine (Ritzdorf) Wiese. She grew up in the Hooper & Scribner, NE area and attended Sts. Peter & Paul School and District 11 School. She married Lawrence A. Moser December 27, 1933 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church at Scribner, NE. Lawrence died Jan. 8, 1994. She moved to Columbus, NE in 1956. Charlotte did volunteer work at the Columbus Community Hospital in the surgery department as a hostess and also did volunteer work at Columbus Scotus High School.
Charlotte was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. She enjoyed playing cards and bowling. She learned computer skills at the age of 88 years.
She is survived by: Daughters - Norma (and husband Roland) Langemeier of Schuyler and Mary Jane (and husband Carl) Sojka of Newman Grove, NE; Sons - Mike (and wife Jan) Moser of Columbus and Larry (and wife Debbie) Moser of Monticello, IN; 16 Grandchildren: Diane (Justin) Page, Joe (Kathy) Langemeier, Jane (Dave) Juelsgaard, Scott (Karen) Langemeier, John (Lisa) Langemeier, Susan (Scott) Kracl, Amy (Terry) Murrell & Chris (Kerri) Langemeier; Anna (PJ) Hartman & Jenny (Jay) Adams; Maria (Scott) Thomas, Anne (Korey) Nevitt & Michelle Moser; Nick, Luke & Erica Moser; 27 Great Grandchildren Taylor Page; Jill (Joel) Stenberg, Jared (Jennifer) Langemeier, Ann Langemeier & Laura (Greg) Boone; Nick, Rachel, Reid & Ryan Juelsgaard; Tacy, Jenna, Brooke, & Brady Langemeier; Ben & Chad Langemeier; Danielle & Mitchell Kracl; Zachary & Connor Murrell; Jakub & Aaron Langemeier; Peter & Michael Hartman; Hunter & Dakota Adams; Emma & Grant Thomas; and 1 Great-great grandchild, Lis Stenberg.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 sisters; and 1 brother.
There will be a Funeral Mass, 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church at Columbus, NE. Father Tom Weisbecker & Father Mike Keating will officiate. Vigil Service, 7:00 P.M., Tuesday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. Visitation Tuesday 4-8 P.M. and Wednesday 8-10 A.M. with the family receiving friends on Tuesday from 5-7 PM all at McKown Funeral Home, Columbus. Burial will be at St. Bonaventure Catholic Cemetery at Columbus, NE.
