Charlotte "CoCo" Jemison of Columbus died Thursday, April 3, 2025, at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. There will be a 4:00 pm Vigil service on Tuesday with visitation to follow from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, all at McKown Funeral Home. Interment will take place in All Saints Cemetery.

Charlotte was born May 20, 1944, to John and Mae Paprocki. She grew up on a farm near Tarnov, NE. Charlotte was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Tarnov, where she attended school. She graduated from Humphrey High School in 1962.

Charlotte was united in marriage to Dewey Nickolite on August 10, 1963. Together they had three children: Michael, Kay & Kim.

Charlotte was married to Ray Jemison on September 7, 1996.

Charlotte enjoyed gardening and canning. She was famous for her pickles. She had a special talent for sewing, crafting several masterpieces over the years. You could often find Charlotte working in one of her many flower beds. She also loved to travel, where she developed an interest in the Cajun culture down south.  Through the years, Charlotte enjoyed spending time with her blended family, as well as her wealth of friends she made.

A special thanks goes out to the Columbus Community Hospice Program, especially Gina, for the wonderful care they provided.
