Charlotte Dreifurst

Charlotte Dreifurst of Columbus died Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Bergan-Mercy Hospital in Omaha.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Friday, January 11, 2019 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus with the Rev. Ross Burkhalter officiating. Visitation is on Thursday from 5-7 pm at St. Anthony's with a Vigil service at 7:00 pm, also at the church. Visitation continues from 9:30 am until service time on Friday at St. Anthony's.  Interment is at All Saints Cemetery.  A lunch will follow at the St. Anthony's Social Hall

Charlotte Dreifurst was born January 12, 1939 in Carlinville, Illinois to Dennis and Helen (Lachnit) Paproski. She grew up in Albion, NE where she attended Albion High School. Charlotte went on to attend St. Catherine Hospital School of Nursing (now the College of St. Mary) in Omaha. On June 3, 1961 she was united in marriage to Cyril "Moon" Dreifurst at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. Charlotte was a carefree loving mother to her children and all of their friends. She loved reading, Husker football, and with her husband Moon, attended all of their children's and grandchildren's events. Charlotte also loved camping. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where she was a part of perpetual adoration and was an EME, St. Theresa Sodality, and the Red Hat Society. She will always be known for her ability to find the humor in any and all situations.
