Charles Vancura Jr

Charles Vancura, Jr., 86, of Columbus died Thursday, December 20, 2001 at Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral Services are 10:00 am Saturday, December 22 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus with the Rev. Joseph A. Miksch officiating. Visitation will be on Friday after 4 pm at McKown Funeral Home with a Vigil service at 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday morning from 8-9:30 am at McKown Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.

Charles Vancura, Jr. was born September 8, 1915 in Valley County, Nebraska to Charles & Rosie (Klat) Vancura. He attended school in Valley County. On November 25, 1941 he was united in marriage to Clara Micek at St. Mary's Church in Elyria, Nebraska. The couple farmed before moving to Columbus in 1986. Charles was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and Holy Name.
