Charles Foreman, 100, of Omaha, formerly of Platte Center, died Friday, December 15, 2006 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. Services are 10:00 am Wednesday, December 20 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center with the Rev. Rod Kneifl officiating. Visitation begins on Tuesday after 5 pm at St. Joseph's Church with a Vigil service at 7 pm, also at the church. Visitation will continue Wednesday morning from 9 am until service time at the church. Interment is in Ss. Patrick/Joseph Cemetery in Platte Center.
Charles Foreman was born April 29, 1906 in Platte Center to John and Mary (Moritz) Foreman. He grew up in Platte Center and farmed in the Platte Center area. He married Stella Shemek on February 19, 1932. Charles also lived in Omaha where he worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He enjoyed playing cards, cribbage, collecting coins, cooking, and gardening. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center.
