Charlene "Char" Parmenter

Charlene "Char" Parmenter died Tuesday, November 19, 2024, in Omaha.

Graveside services are 1:00 pm Friday, November 22 at Valley View Cemetery in Genoa.

Charlene Parmenter was born May 6, 1947, in Ravenna, NE to Charles and Ruth (Buske) Mrkvicka.  She grew up in Ravenna and graduated from Ravenna High School where she played in the band. She attended business school following her graduation. Char worked for Brandeis in her early years before going to work for an interior decorator. Char married Gene Parmenter on Feb 14, 2000, in Las Vegas. Char and Gene purchased the Genoa Tavern which they owned and operated for several years. Gene died in 2009.

Due to her health, Char moved to Omaha.

Char loved to collect frogs, garden, fishing, hunting, and motorcycle riding. She was very social and known as "Miss Pizza"
