Charlene E. Hoegerl, 71, of Columbus died Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at Columbus Community Hospital. Services are 10:30 am Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus with the Rev. Joseph A. Miksch officiating. Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 4-8 pm at McKown Funeral Home with a Vigil service at 7:00 pm, also at the funeral home. Visitation continues on Wednesday from 8-10 am at the funeral home. Interment is in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.

Charlene E. Hoegerl was born May 18, 1932 in Columbus, Nebraska to Charles C and Emma E (Kudron) Nickolite Sr. She lived her entire life in Columbus where she graduated from St. Bonaventure High School .On June 30, 1953 she was married to Joseph C. Hoegerl at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus, Nebraska. She has worked at Appleton Electric, Dales Electronics and Behlen Manufacturing. Charlene enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and taking care of her grandchidren. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Theresa Sodality and a past member of the Eagles Club.
