Charlene Earley

Charlene died Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Madonna Health & Rehab in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Charlene was born February 3, 1929 in Fremont, to Dr. Charles and Helen (Haun) Chambers. She graduated from Fremont High School, and the University of Nebraska. She married Joseph E. Earley on November 16, 1951 at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Fremont. Charlene and Joe lived in Fremont, Omaha, and then moved to Columbus, where Joe opened Earley TV Repair & later Earley Tower Company. Charlene took care of the books for the business. She was also a substitute teacher, a charter member of St. Isidores Catholic Church, a homemaker and loving mother to her three sons. Her hobbies included: traveling, reading, sewing, bird watching, and card club with her friends. One of highlights of her travels was a trip to Rome to see the ordination of Fr. Jeff Loscke.

Charlene is survived by sons: Chuck (Nancy) Earley of Lincoln, Bob (Betty) Earley of Columbus, Joe (Dierdre) Earley of Phoenix, AZ; Grandchildren: Michael, Ryan, Cassie, Trenton, Rheanna, Kaden and Calyse; Great-Grandchildren: Jackson, Brielle, Nathaniel, Natalie, and Lillian, Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Earley; sister, Joanne Lamberty, brother-in-law, Dick Lamberty; and parents, Dr. Charles and Helen Chambers.
