Cecilia K. Tworek

March 31, 1920 — April 18, 2008

Cecilia Katherine (Stankoski) Tworek was born on March 31, 1920 to Adam and Mary (Stetz) Stankoski on a farm near Fullerton, Nebraska. She attended boarding school at Sts. Peter and Paul's Catholic School at Krakow, Nebraska. On April 12, 1944 she married Michael John Tworek-at Sts. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church at Krakow, Nebraska. They farmed south of Duncan, Nebraska. In 1952 they moved to Hawley, Minnesota where they farmed for 9 years. In 1961 they moved to Columbus, Nebraska. In her later years she lived at Prairie Village and Morys Haven in Columbus, Nebraska.

Cecilia was a member of St. Bonaventure's Catholic Church in Columbus. She was a charter member of the Navy Mother's Blue Jackets Club, which began in Columbus in the mid 1960's.

Cecilia worked at Dale Electronics from 1961 till her retirement in 1986. She worked in production for several years and then later managed the Dale's lunchroom.

Cecilia enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, raising violets and a variety of flowers, cooking, baking and crafts.

She is survived by sons Michael C. Tworek and wife Nancy Elaine of Columbus, Nebraska, Adrian S. Tworek and wife Jane of Columbus, Nebraska, daughter Patricia A. White of Beatrice, Nebraska. Grandchildren: Denise Fleeman and husband Daniel of Lincoln, Nebraska, Christopher Tworek of Omaha, Nebraska, Steven Tworek of Columbus, Nebraska, Nichole White and Fiancee Jason Olberding of Lincoln, Nebraska, Whitney White of Greeley, Colorado, and Jamie Tworek of Wayne, Nebraska. Great Grandchildren Rachel Anna Fleeman and Julia Rose Fleeman of Lincoln.

Sisters and Brothers: Rosie Gembica of Silver Creek, Nebraska, Emil Stankoski of Fullerton, Nebraska, Wesley Stankoski of Silver Creek, Nebraska, Louis Stankoski of Papillion, Nebraska, Eleanor Rybinski of Columbus, Nebraska, Edwin Stankoski of Silver Creek, Nebraska and Evelyn Rinkol of Silver Creek, Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her husband Michael J. Tworek, parents, Adam and Mary Stankoski, Father-in-law Charles Tworek, Mother-in-law Kate Tworek, sisters Antonia Vetick and Loretta Chmiel, brother Zigmund Stankoski. Brother-in-laws Michael Chmiel,Frank Gembica and Joseph Rybinski, nephews Edward and Daniel Chmiel and grand-daughter
Renae Tworek.
