Cecilia died Monday, December 27, 2010 at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.

Cecilia Szelag was born March 4, 1928 in Duncan, Nebraska to Joseph and Pauline (Mostek) Zywiec. She attended District #10 School near Silver Creek, Nebraska. On May 24, 1948 Cecilia married John S. Szelag at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church - Krakow near Genoa, Nebraska. She worked for Becton - Dickinson for 23 years until retiring in 1991. Cecilia was a member of St. Anthony Church, St. Theresa Sodality, Eagles Club, BD Alumni and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family and friends.
