Cecilia F. Svoboda

Cecilia F. Svoboda of Columbus died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Columbus Community Hospital.

Cecilia Frances Svoboda was born November 22, 1909 in David City to Frank and Mary (Theewen) Aerts. She was the second oldest of 10 children on a farm near Center Parish. Cecilia married Albin Svoboda on February 10, 1931 at St. Francis (Center Parish) Church-David City. After many years on various Butler County farms, she and her husband, Albin, moved to Columbus. Following her husbands death, Cecilia worked in St. Mary's Hospital as a nurse's helper. She entered the Golden Living Center in 2005. Cecilia was a member of St. Isidore's Parish where she belonged to the Christian Mothers and the St. Isidore's quilting and embroidery groups. Her hobbies were embroidery, cooking, and crocheting.
