Cecelia Miratsky, 59, of Columbus died Monday, July 30 at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha as the result of breast cancer. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Friday, August 3 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church with the Rev. David Fulton officiating. Visitation begins on Thursday after 4 pm at McKown Funeral Home with a 7:00 pm Vigil Service, also at the funeral home. Visitation continues Friday morning from 8-10 am at McKown Funeral Home. A lunch will follow the service in the Parish Center with graveside services at 1:30 pm Friday at St. Mary's Cemetery in David City. Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family.
Cecelia Marie Miratsky was born March 13, 1948 in David City to Anton and Lillian (Pecka) Miratsky. She grew up in David City and graduated from David City Aquinas High School in 1966. Cece attended Beauty College in Columbus and worked for Dale Electronics before moving to Lincoln where she attended the Lincoln School of Commerce. She worked at various places in Lincoln, lastly, Farmers Mutual before being diagnosed with breast cancer and MS. Cece lived the last five years of her life in Columbus where she was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. She enjoyed crafts and flowers.
