Catherine B. "Kay" Konwinski, age 94, of Columbus, Nebraska died Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at Morys Haven in Columbus. Funeral Services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2005 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus with Reverend Del Lape officiating. Burial is in the St. Peter Cemetery in Clarks, Nebraska. Visitation is 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. also at the funeral home.

Catherine B. "Kay" Konwinski was born November 22, 1910 in Genoa, Nebraska to Metro and Mary (Dyrbala) Beck. She received her education at District #24, Krakow Parochial, and Clarks Public Schools. She married Frank Konwinski on June 9, 1931 at St. Peters Church in Clarks, Nebraska. Along with raising her family Catherine helped on the family farm near Silver Creek. She worked at Becton-Dickinson, Montgomery Wards and D & L in Columbus. Following her husband's death in 1990 Catherine moved to Columbus. She was a past member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek and currently a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. She was a member of St. Lawrence Altar Society and St. Theresa Sodality. Catherine was an avid seamstress and gardener.
