Carol Bignell

Carol Jean Bignell, age 64, of Columbus, Nebraska died Sunday September 15, 2002 at Creighton University Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday; September 19, 2002 at Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus, Nebraska. The Rev Michael V. Klatt and Ernest G. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Thursday morning 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. There will be a 10:15 p.m. family prayer service.

Carol Jean Bignell was born April 3, 1938 in Louisville, Nebraska to W. Martin and Leona (Borgelt) Wilson. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1955. She married Dwight Bignell on August 11, 1956 in Fremont, Nebraska. She has lived in Columbus since 1974. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and was a Caretaker at Peace Lutheran Church.
