A Mass of Christian Burial for Brandon Finkral, 45, of Columbus will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Holy Family Church in Lindsay. Visitation will be held Monday, December 15, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. rosary, all at the church. Rev. Taylor Loeffler and Deacon Louis Dohmen will officiate. Interment will follow at Iowa Valley Cemetery, rural Lindsay, NE.

Brandon Mark Finkral, son of Linda Finkral and the late Mark Finkral, was born October 11, 1980, in Norfolk, NE. He passed away at his home on December 11, 2025.

He attended elementary school at Kalamazoo, District 97 and graduated from Newman Grove Public Schools in 2000. He attended North Central Tech in Beloit, KS and graduated with a certificate in cabinet making and carpentry.

Finkral was currently employed at Kent Feeds in Columbus, Nebraska. He previously worked at BDs and Pillen.

From a young age, Brandon found peace in the outdoors. He spent many weekends hunting and enjoying nature. One of his greatest joys was getting on his motorcycles and taking long rides. Brandon had a green thumb for gardening and enjoyed canning what he grew. He had a deep love for his animals and raised pheasants, quails, turkeys, and goats. He had a passion for genealogy. Brandon had a generous heart and always thought of others.

He was preceded in death by his father: Mark Finkral; grandparents: Thomas and Viola Finkral; Joseph and Louise Moravec.

He is survived by his mother: Linda Finkral of Lindsay; brothers: Jeff Finkral (Amy) of Sioux City, Iowa, Matthew Finkral (Emmie) of Newman Grove, Nebraska; sisters: Shelli Johnson (significant other Dave) of Humphrey, Nebraska, April Benson of Albion, Nebraska, Abbie Nelson (Kevin) of Newman Grove, Nebraska; along with nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
