Bonnie Kay Krause, age 65, formerly of Columbus, NE, and Yankton, SD, died Sunday November 18, 2012 in Sioux Falls, SD.
Bonnie Wallick, daughter of Ivan and Merle (Choat) Wallick, was born December 9, 1946 in Albion, NE. She was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Albion. Bonnie attended Boone Country School, district 23-49, Albion Junior High and graduated from Albion High with the Class of 1964. Bonnie then worked at Putters Jewelry in Norfolk.
She was united in marriage to David Krause on May 8, 1965 at St. Michaels Church in Albion. The couple lived in Norfolk for a short time and later moved to Columbus in October of 1965. She worked at Dales, Gibsons, Saunders Archery, and Runza before working for 24 years at Wal-Mart, retiring in 2009. In her earlier years Bonnie was very active in 4-H and was crowned Boone County Queen in 1962. She enjoyed traveling, her camper, and reading. The couple spent 6 months of the year near Yankton, SD and 6 months in Bullhead City, AZ.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Dave, daughter Cindy (Rod) Johnson, Omaha, NE, 2 grandchildren, Sean and Kasi Kuta, Omaha, 2 brothers, Jim (Diane) Wallick, Villisca, IA, Dick Wallick, Columbus, NE, a sister, Donna Klopnieski, of Columbus, 3 sisters in-law, Jodi Krohn, of Albion, Diane (Ralph) Naber, Grand Island, NE, and Marilyn Wallick, Algona, IA, and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, brother Loran, and brothers in-law, Dick Krohn and Ray Klopnieski, preceded her in death.
