Bonnie Konert, 73, of Columbus died Sunday, April 6, 2025 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2025 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. Visitation is 4:00-6:00 p.m., with a 6:00 p.m. Vigil service Wednesday, April 9 at McKown Funeral Home. Interment will take place in All Saints Cemetery.
Bonnie and twin sister were born on February 24, 1952 in Kearney, Nebraska to Harold and Maxine (Kirschner) Vogt.
She grew up in Ravenna, Nebraska, where she graduated from high school in 1970. After high school, she completed a two year secretarial course at Kearney State College before beginning her work career as a secretary to the director of libraries at Kearney State.
She married Jerry Konert on August 25, 1973 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Ravenna. They made their home in Columbus, Nebraska, where they raised four children, Bryan, Eric, Justin, and Heather.
Bonnie worked at MARC for a short time before beginning her nearly 40 year career at Dale/Vishay. She retired in 2018.
Besides the time spent with family, she enjoyed spending time with friends at the Columbus Senior Center. Her hobbies included motorcycling, knitting, crocheting, sewing, refinishing, and reupholstering furniture.
