Blanche Novotny of Columbus died Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.
Blanche M Novotny was born December 13, 1920 in Osceola, NE to Albert and Hilda (Zeleny) Bernt. She grew up on the family farm by Osceola. Blanche was united in marriage to William Novotny on April 14, 1941 at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Osceola. Blanche was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, Legion of Mary, served 40 years of Perpetual Adoration, Catholic Daughters of America, and did volunteer work at Golden Living. Blanched loved sewing, cooking, baking, canning, and taking care of her flowers. She was known for her Kolaches and homemade angel food cakes. Blanche dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
