Blaine Hinze, age 48, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 8, 2025. His loss will leave a large hole in many hearts. His love for friends and family was indisputable.

, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the church. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at the church. Private family interment is in Dennison Cemetery, rural Albion.
In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
Blaine Robert was born in Columbus, Nebraska on September 30, 1976, to Robert and Nancy. He was welcomed home in Duncan by Cindy, Kenny and Cheryl. He attended Duncan Elementary and graduated from Columbus High. He then went on to attend Kearney State College.
In 2003, Blaine and Sara Keeler were blessed with a daughter, Alexandra (Alex) Jo. In 2010, he married Michelle Noah and was blessed with a son, Ayden Cooper in 2012.
Blaine learned to weld at an early age with his dad. After college, he worked at Camaco. They sent him to Platte College, and he received a certification as a robotic technician. Blaine then went to work for Duo-Lift and received extensive training in robotics.
Blaine loved his family and friends. He had many passions, the Steelers and Huskers, video games and online gaming with Dru and friends for over 20 years. Blaine also enjoyed camping, canoeing on the Niobrara, four wheeling at Halsey with friends and family, embracing his Irish heritage and of course, throwing around some sarcasm. Blaine played Little League in Duncan, Legion baseball, and later Coed slow pitch in Columbus. He loved very loud music and concerts.
Blaine is survived by his wife, Michelle, daughter Alex (Hunter) Trusty, and son Ayden. Parents Robert and Nancy Hinze. Sisters Cindy (Chris) Conkling and Cheryl (Chad) Kearns. Niece Torie (Nate) Jelinek, Great Nieces Oakley & Finley. Nephews Conor and Caden Kearns. Niece Madi Hinze. And many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is proceeded in death by brother Kenny, grandparents, Delbert (Dyke) and Francis Hinze, Floyd (Bill) and Mary Porter, and many aunts and uncles.
