Billy Joe Moore

Billy Joe Moore, age 61, of Columbus, Nebraska died Sunday, April 29, 2007 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral Services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus with Reverend Dr. Paul L. Rowoldt officiating. Burial is in the Columbus Cemetery. Visitation is 11:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Billy Joe Moore was born January 3, 1946 in Spokane, Washington to Denzil and Bessie (Eakle) Moore. He grew up in Akron, Ohio and moved to Nebraska in 1970. He married Vickie Sheldon on April 6, 1970 in Guthrie Center, Iowa. The couple moved to Columbus in 1988. Billy worked as an auto mechanic his entire life. He enjoyed stock car and drag racing and spending time with his fourteen grandchildren.
