Beverly Swanson

Beverly J. Swanson, 84 years 11 months 23 days of Columbus died Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Morys Haven in Columbus surrounded by her loving family.

Beverly was born January 16, 1932 in Schuyler, NE to Frank and Bessie Kay (Kirkland) Sutherland, the youngest of 7 children. She graduated from Schuyler High School in 1951. On July 8, 1951, Beverly was united in marriage to Donald F. Swanson, and to this union four children were born, daughter Connie (Jerry) Tworek of Columbus, son Bill (Jane) Swanson of Genoa, daughter Donna (Mike) Connelly of Genoa, and daughter Sherri (Dan) Pollard of Columbus

Bev was a stay at home mom on the farm near Genoa for many years and later moved to Columbus where she worked at Tran-Tec and was a CNA at the Columbus Manor. Bev loved sewing, crafts, fishing, horse racing, bingo, going to garage sales, roller skating, playing the guitar, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Bev enjoyed living at Heritage House with her beloved dog, Trixie.

In addition to her children, survivors also include 14 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren with one on the way.
