Betty J. Soulliere

Betty J. Soulliere, age 74, of Platte Center, died Thursday, March 24, 2011 at the Columbus Community Hospital.

Betty J. Soulliere was born January 13, 1937 in Columbus, Nebraska to John Ignarski and Anna (Hamling) Ignarski Gleason. She graduated from Platte Center High School in 1954. Betty married George Soulliere on May 3, 1958 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. She worked at the Platte County Treasure Office, Soil Mover Mfg and for the Platte Center Elementary School as a secretary for 31 years until her retirement in 2005. She was a member of the St. Joseph Church, St. Ann's-Christian Mothers,and American Legion Auxiliary Parry Unit #283 where she served as a past president. She enjoyed bowling, polka music, reading, flowers and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law: Ralph Steiner.
