Betty O'Connor

Betty O'Connor, age 86 of North Platte, formerly of Columbus, died Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte.

Betty Lorene O'Connor was born July 24, 1925 in Mahaska, Kansas to Wesley and Cora (Hackbarth) Mooren. She graduated from Mahaska High School in 1943. Betty married Claude O'Connor on February 24, 1946 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. They lived in Fairbury until moving to Columbus in 1965. Betty worked at the Columbus Manor for 12 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was an active volunteer in the community. Claude passed away in 1982. Leaving a space in her heart, she later reunited with classmate Lester Revere Allen and moved to North Platte.

Daughter: Claudia Robinson of Lincoln
Grandson: Aaron (Dawn) Robinson of Hickman
4 great grandchildren: Ashton age 12, Jacie and Justin age 4, and Carson age 9 months



She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Claude and 1 brother
