Betty Hegi of Duncan died Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Brookestone Acres in Columbus.
Betty Kay Hegi was born July 25, 1941 in Denison, IA to Loyal and Madelyn (Jenkins) Kaspersen. As a young child she moved to Columbus where she graduated from Kramer High School in 1959. After high school Betty worked at First National Bank. She was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Hegi on February 23, 1963 at St. Lukes-UCC. Betty was a farm wife and raised her family.
Betty was involved in many activities including Girl Scouts, Fireman's Auxiliary, Meals on Wheels, and being the scorekeeper at her families sporting activities. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, and reading. She was a member of St. Luke's-UCC where she taught Sunday School.
