ODE TO MY MOTHER (BETTY BRUNKEN) OUR LITTLE FIRECRACKER
Heaven gained a new angel today,
As Betty Ann Brunken has passed away.
She was our angel here on earth.
But God needed her more to do His work.
She loved people and loved her many jobs.
Was great at typing, shorthand and working with Whif, Mike and Bob.
She toiled five years at Kosch and then
Another 40 plus years at the Columbus Airport Authority and Behlen.
She enjoyed playing Bridge with a circle of friends, bowling and golf too.
She was active in Eastern Star and at the Federated Church on many committees with some of you.
She truly loved her family: Ron and Phyllis, Brian and Jenny, Amy and Todd, Logan, Nate and Ellie.
And also for the last 9 years, her dog, Benji.
She was most proud that she could do all of her own work: she drove, mowed, cleaned, walked and even exercised at the Y.
What a great example of how one should live his/her life.
She has finally been reunited with her parents, siblings and best of all her husband, my Dad, Howard.
It would take hours and hours to mention all the great things she has done for me and my family both spiritually and financially.
And so dear friends dont shed a tear.
For Betty Ann Brunken is still with us here.
She is in our memories and in our hearts.
And thus we thank God for giving us Betty for the past 92 years.
God Bless You Mom.
