Beryl Toof, age 82 of Columbus, died Friday, June 22, 2012 at her home in Columbus.
Beryl was born October 23, 1929 in LeMars, Iowa to Lorenz and Mayme (Kain) Bamberg. She received her early education in LeMars before moving to Columbus in 1944. She graduated from St. Bonaventure High in 1947. Beryl married Richard Toof on October 16, 1950 in Columbus. Along with raising her family she worked at Kelly Jewelry for 25 years. She was a dedicated member of St. Bonaventure Church, Catholic Daughters of America and St. Bonaventure Guild. She served as an E.M.E. and held an hour of perpetual adoration for many years. Beryl volunteered at Birthright and worked as a precinct worker. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting, crocheting, crafts and was an avid reader and a member of the Golden Debs Club. Beryl loved her family and enjoyed being with them and her friends.

Dan Toof of Monroe, GA; son: John Toof of Bellingham, WA, son: Lawrence Toof of Lincoln, NE, daughter: ReBecca (Bill) Allen of Aurora, NE, granddaughters: Meg Smith and Rachel Smith of Kansas City, MO and grandsons: Benjamin Allen of Aurora, NE, Joseph Toof of Bellingham, WA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Matthew, Francis and Tony and sister: Arlene
