Bertha Tlamka

Bertha M. Tlamka, age 83, of Columbus, Nebraska died Friday January 24, 2003 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday January 28, 2003 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus with Reverend Joseph A. Miksch officiating. Burial is in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation is 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation continues Tuesday morning from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, St. Isidore Church or donors choice.

Bertha M. Tlamka was born March 26, 1919 in Dwight, Nebraska to Edward and Anna (Turek) Shonka. She attended school in Surprise, Nebraska. On February 11, 1946 she was united in marriage to Raymond Tlamka at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus, Nebraska. The couple lived in Columbus where Bertha raised her family and worked at Becton - Dickinson as a needle inspector. She was a member of St. Isidore Church, Christian Mothers. and the D.A.V. Auxiliary.
