Berniece Kuta

Berniece M. Kuta, age 93, of Columbus, Nebraska died Thursday, June 29, 2006 at the Beverly Health Care in Columbus. Funeral Services are 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2006 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus with Reverend Del Lape officiating. Visitation is 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation continues Monday morning from 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. also at the funeral home. Burial is in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Columbus.

Berniece M. Kuta was born December 9, 1912 in Loup City, Nebraska to Joseph and Berniece (Kozak) Placzek. She received her education in Loup City. Berniece married Frank A. Kuta February 10, 1931 in Duncan, Nebraska. The couple lived in Duncan and Loup City before moving to Columbus in 1962. Berniece worked at Dale Electronics for 5 1/2 years and the Columbus Manor for 1 year. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and crocheting.
