Bernice Tarnick

Bernice L. Tarnick, 91, of Columbus died Sunday, May 20, 2007 at Golden Living Center in Columbus. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Wednesday, May 23 at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Visitation is on Tuesday from 4-8 pm at McKown Funeral Home with a Vigil Service at 7:30 pm , also at the funeral home. Visitation continues Wednesday morning from 8-10 am at the funeral home. Interment is in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the St. Isidore Building Fund.

Bernice Loretta Tarnick was born October 25, 1915 in Genoa to Alois and Anna (Zoucha) Kiolbasa. She was raised North of Clarks, Nebraska. On April 15, 1940 Bernice was united in marriage to Alfons Tarnick in Krakow. Bernice was a devoted wife and mother. Bernice was a member of Ss. Peter/Paul Catholic Church in Krakow where she was a member of the Altar Society. They retired in 1976 and moved to Columbus where she was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. Bernice loved sewing and gardening.
