Bernice Haney

Bernice Haney, age 101, of Columbus, Nebraska died Thursday, September 6, 2007 at the Central City Care Center. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2007 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus with Reverend Joseph A. Miksch officiating. Visitation is 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday with an 8:00 p.m. Vigil Service at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation continues Monday morning from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Burial is in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus.

Bernice was born June 16, 1906 in Krakow, Poland to Andrew and Catherine (Boro) Szostak. She was raised and attended school near Platte Center, Nebraska. Bernice married Howard W. Haney on October 28, 1926 in Platte Center. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Isidore Church, Christian Mothers and the St. Isidore Quilting Club.
