Bennie J. Koziol

Mr. Koziol died Saturday, August 30, 2008 at the Columbus Community Hospital.

Bennie J. Koziol was born May 26, 1930 in Columbus, Nebraska to Joseph F. and Clara (Krzycki) Koziol. He attended St. Anthony Elementary School and graduated from Kramer High School. Bennie served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War for 2 years spending 17 months in Alaska. He married Arlene Kudron on July 2, 1960 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. Bennie worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 2 years and then worked as a Journeyman Plumber at Columbus Plumbing for 45 years until retiring in 2003. He enjoyed outdoor activities, bird watching, reading and watching New York Yankees baseball and all football games. Bennie was a member of St. Anthony Church where he served as an usher, parish council 2 terms, perpetual adoration and was a past Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion. He is also survived by many Brothers-in-law, Sisters-in-law, Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews
