Becky Sue Kush

Becky Sue Kush, age 43, of Monroe, Nebraska died Wednesday July 17, 2002 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday July 19, 2002 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbus with Reverend Douglas Zurek officiating. Burial will be in the Gruetli Cemetery - rural Monroe, Nebraska. Visitation is 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. Visitation will continue on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. A Family Prayer Service will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday also at the church. Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.

Becky Sue Kush was born October 8, 1958 in Columbus, Nebraska to Melvin K. and Donna M. (Simpkins) Heins. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1976 and received her LPN Degree from Platte College in 1977. She married Robert (Bob) E. Kush. The couple lived in Columbus several years before moving to Monroe. Becky worked as a nurse at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha, Ne. the Central City Nursing Home, Columbus Manor, and most recently at Morys Haven Nursing Home in Columbus. Becky passed away after a 2 year battle with cancer. She devoted her life to her nursing profession. Becky also enjoyed gardening, flowers, crocheting, remodeling and collecting Santas and Angels.
