Beatrice &Quot;Betsy&Quot; Eden

Beatrice "Betsy" Eden died Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Meridian Gardens in Columbus.

Beatrice "Betsy" Evelyn Eden was born August 22, 1915 in Monroe, NE to Orville and Rose (Peterson) Fleming. Betsy graduated from Monroe High School in 1933 and went on to attend college. On September 23, 1940 she was united in marriage to Claude Eden in Nevada, Iowa. Betsy raised her family on a farm north of Monroe. While on the farm, Betsy was a member of St. Johns and Lindsay Holy Family Catholic Churches. She was also active in the Okay Extension Club. In 1977, she and Claude retired and moved to Columbus where they were members of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Betsy was active with St. Bonaventure Ladies Guild and volunteering with Birthright. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and working with her computer.
