Barbara Van Winkle

Barbara Van Winkle of Silver Creek died Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at her home.

Private services will be held.

Barbara was born July 2, 1958, in Albion, Nebraska to Frank and Merna (Young) Hoffmeister. She grew up in St. Edward where she graduated from St. Edward High School in 1976. She married Lyndon Van Winkle in 1978 in Silver Creek. She worked at various jobs including the doctor office in Genoa, Polk County Sheriff Office and the State of Colorado as a park ranger and a corrections officer.

Barbara is survived by her husband Lyndon: of Silver Creek, sons: Kip (Janeece) of Kearney and Dusty (Stacy) of Silver Creek, 9 grandchildren and her brother: Bob (Janet) Hoffmeister of St. Edward.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
