Barbara J. Tucek

Barbara died Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Tabitha Good House in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Barbara Jane (Allen) Tucek was born October 16, 1930 in Omaha, Nebraska to Dr. James and Doris (Lindburg) Allen. She grew up in Craig, Nebraska and graduated from Craig High School in 1948. She went on to attend Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1952. On April 24, 1954 she was united in marriage to Albert B. Tucek, Jr. in Tekamah, Nebraska. Barb worked for Consumer Public Power District for two years before becoming a Platte County Home Extension Agent for 14 years. Barb belonged to many organizations including the American Legion Auxiliary, PEO, Bridge Club, Book Club, Elks Women Golf League, Home Economics Club, Alpha Phi, Womens Chamber of Commerce, and was a 4-H and Girl Scout Leader. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church.

Great Nephew Nicholas Aldieri of Omaha, Nebraska
Great Nephew Josh (Robin) Sanz of Camus, Washington
Great Niece Emma & Riley Sanz of Camus, Washington
