Artemio Mendoza

Artemio Mendoza of Columbus died Friday, July 14, 2023 at Bryan LGH-East in Lincoln.

Visitation and rosary Monday July 17th from 5-8 pm at McKown Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Tuesday July 18th at St. Bonaventure Church. Interment will be in La Luz, Michoacan Mexico.

Artemio Mendoza was born January 15, 1964 in Mexico to Gilibaldo and Rosalia (Garcia) Mendoza.  He grew up in Mexico before moving to the US when he was 17.  Artemio lived in Wyoming, Colorado, and Washington before settling in Nebraska.  Artemio married Berta Garcilazo on January 3, 1990 in Mexico.

Artemio worked in agriculture, construction, and in restaurants.  He was a great husband and father.  Artemio was always willing to help family and friends.  He was a jokester and loved by many. Artemio will always live in the heart of his family members.
