Arno C. Siebler of Columbus died Sunday, January 19, 2003 at his home. Services are 10:30 am Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbus. Visitation is on Wednesday from 4-8 pm at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation continues on Thursday from 9:30 am until service time at the church. There will be a family prayer service at 10:15 am Thursday, also at the church. Interment is in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery with military honors by Hartman Post #84 American Legion Honor Guard.

Arno C. Siebler was born January 24, 1918 in Platte Center to George & Anna (Hilmer) Siebler. He attended schools in Platte Center. On September 17, 1943 he married Ruth Heins. To this union 2 children were born, Gloria & Gary. Ruth passed away in 1950. He married Verla Heins on May 26, 1951. To this union 2 children were born, Karen & Kalvin. On November 27, 1982 he married Leona Jensen in Columbus. Arno was a Sargent in the US Army 5th Armid Division SCU Medical Detachment 1908 from 1942 until 1948. Following WWII, Arno returned and farmed near Platte Center. He was also a carpenter & block layer. He was a life member of Disabled American Veterans and past commander of the DAV Chapter 16 in Albion. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbus and the American Legion.
