Arlo Bray, age 85, of Columbus, Nebraska died Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at his home. Funeral Services are 11:00 a.m. Monday at the McKown Funeral Home. The Rev. Del Lape will officiate. Visitation is Sunday 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. until service time on Monday at the McKown Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Columbus Cemetery.
Arlo R. "Bud" Bray was born July 13, 1920 in Platte County, Nebraska to Ralph O. and Emma (Will) Bray. He received his education in Platte County Schools. On September 18, 1950 he married Mary Ann Bernt at St. Andrews Catholic Church in rural Osceola, Nebraska. He worked for Bill Blessen on the farm until his marriage. He then worked at Kosch Manufacturing for a short time. He then worked at Platte Valley Egg and Poultry before going to Columbus Metal where he worked until his retirement in 1986. Bud enjoyed fishing, hunting and tinkering in his garage.
