Anthony “Tony” Augustine of Columbus died Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Brookestone Acres.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2026 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Visitation is Thursday 4:00-7:00 p.m., followed by a 7:00 p.m. Vigil service at McKown Funeral Home. Interment will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery.

In lieu of plants, flowers and statues, memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.

Tony was born March 24, 1935 in Loup City, Nebraska to John L. and Marie A. (Prososki) Augustine. He received his education at St. Bonaventure High School in Columbus. He was married to Phyllis Higgins on July 6, 1955 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. He retired from Metz Baking Company in 1992. He enjoyed music, playing cards, family sporting events and his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
