Anthony "Tony" Stuhr of Bellwood died Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at his home.
Anthony Stuhr was born July 24, 1946 in Petersburg, NE to Lawrence and Mary (Starman) Stuhr, Sr. Tony grew up in Petersburg and graduated from St. Johns High School in 1965. He enlisted in the US Army where he served in Thailand during the Vietnam War. Tony returned to Columbus and later moved to Bellwood. On August 15, 1970, Tony married Dee Shonka at Immaculate Conception Church in Ulysses. Tony worked at Behlen Manufacturing for 44 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in rural Bellwood, the American Legion Post #327, and the Knights of Columbus. Tony loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, NASCAR, Husker football, spending time outdoors, and tinkering.
