Anthony J. Czapla died Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.

Anthony J. "Tony" Czapla was born May 13, 1919 in Columbus to Joseph B. and Agnes (Kush) Czapla. He attended St. Stanislaus Parochial School and graduated from Duncan High School in 1938. Following his schooling he worked in Omaha at the Wilson and Cadahy packing houses. In 1943 he returned to the family where he farmed until 1946. He started working for Duncan Irrigation. He then worked construction with Czapla Brothers and Moschenross. In 1960 he went to work for Clarence Mimick. He worked as a supervisor for D & L until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and the Knights of Columbus Council #938. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and golfing.

He is survived by:
