Anna Starostka

Anna Starostka, age 93, formerly of Silver Creek, Nebraska died Thursday April 25, 2002 at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg, Nebraska. Funeral Services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday April 27, 2002 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek with Reverend Dave Korth officiating. Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Silver Creek. Visitation will begin on Friday after 5:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. at St. Lawrence Church in Silver Creek. Visitation will continue Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until service time also at the church.

Anna Starostka was born October 27, 1908 in Clarks, Nebraska to Metro and Mary (Demboski) Beck. She grew up on a farm near Clarks where she attended country school. On February 12, 1931 Anna was united in marriage to Edward Starostka. He died January 9, 1950. Anna lived in the Clarks and Silver Creek before moving to Stromsburg. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and dancing. She was a member ot St. Lawrence Church and St. Lawrence Altar Society.
