Anna Keefer

Anna M. Keefer, age 95, of Columbus, Nebraska died Wednesday October 1, 2003 at Morys Haven. Funeral Services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday October 4, 2003 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus with the Reverend Del Lape & Reverend Joseph A. Miksch officiating. Burial is in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation is 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday with a 4:00 p.m. Rosary & a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation continues Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at the church.

Anna M. Keefer was born July 22, 1908 in Platte Center, Nebraska to John and Agatha (Kiolbasa) Kaipust. She married Herman T. Keefer on August 12, 1929 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. They lived all their married life in Columbus. She worked at Columbus Laundry, Columbus Theatre and St. Anthony Rectory for many years. She was a member of St. Anthony Church and St. Theresa Sodality.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1966; 2 sons Dwayne Keefer and Herman C. Keefer ; 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
