Angeline J. Dohmen, age 86 of Columbus, died Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at Mory's Haven in Columbus. Funeral services are 9:30 am Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. Visitation is on Friday from 4-7 pm at McKown Funeral Home with a Vigil Service at 7 pm, also at the funeral home. Visitation continues Saturday morning from 8-9:30 at McKown Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Holy Family Cemetery in Lindsay, Nebraska.
Angeline J. Dohmen was born November 21, 1920 in Cedar Rapids, NE to Charles and Josephine (Niedzwiecki) Jarecki. She moved to Lindsay as a child with her family. Angeline was then married to Ralph Dohmen on September 17, 1946. They farmed near Lindsay until Ralph's death in 1969. Angeline then moved to Columbus where she resided until her death. Angeline was a homemaker, daycare provider, and was equally active in the Catholic Church and the VFW Auxiliary.
Angeline's interests included spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, crocheting, needlework, and oil painting.
