Angeline Ahrens, age 82 of Columbus, died Saturday, September 5, 2026 at CHI_Bergan Mercy in Omaha due to complications from heart failure.
Mass of Christian is 10:30 am Wednesday, September 9 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Columbus.
On Tuesday, there will be a Catholic Daughters of America Rosary at 4:30 pm; visitation from 5-7 pm; and a Vigil service at 7:00 pm, all at McKown Funeral Home.
Visitation continues Wednesday morning from 9:30 am until service time at St. Anthony Church. Interment is in St. Bonaventure Cemetery
Angeline Ahrens was born December 17, 1943 in Genoa to Emil and Helen (Voichoskie) Bialas. She grew up in Clarks. Angie married Jim Kozak on April 11, 1964 at Chanute AFB in Illinois. After Jim’s passing in 1975, she married Lee Ahrens on March 24, 1978 in Las Vegas.
Angie worked at Dale Electronics, CAMACO, Jackson Services and at BD’s. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Theresa Sodality, Perpetual Adoration, Catholic Daughters of America, PRE instructor, and helped with funeral dinners at the church.
Angie dearly loved her family and her grandchildren. She enjoyed tending to her garden on the farm.
