Alvin Swertzic

Alvin B. Swertzic, 92, of Genoa formerly of Silver Creek, died Thursday May 20, 2002 at Genoa Long Term Care Center. Funeral services are 10:30 am Monday May 20, 2002 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek with the Rev. Dave Korth officiating. Visitation will be after 5:00 pm Sunday at St. Lawrence church with a Vigil service set for 7:30 pm. Visitation will continue Monday morning from 9:30 am until service time at the church. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Alvin B. Swertzic was born August 9, 1909 in Merrick County, Nebraska to John & Stella (Dubas) Swertzic. He attended Polk and Nance County School and farmed the family farm in Merrick County. He enjoyed playing cards, polka music, and buying new cars throughout his life. He was a member of the church.
