1968 to work at the V.A. hospital there, where she stayed until her retirement in 1988. Her greatest source of pride was in the fact that she never lost a patient while under anesthesia. She attributed this to a Prayer she said to the Blessed Virgin before every surgery. She moved back to Nebraska in 2005 due to health reasons. She had a true passion for singing. While she lived in Omaha she was a member of the Oma Harmonizers, a chapter of the Sweet Adeline's. She also enjoyed traveling taking several trips abroad. Ms. Paprocki was a member of St Michael's Catholic Church, St Catherine's Alumni Association, Creighton University Alumni Association and St Michael's Historical Society.
