Alice Kunes

Alice Kunes, age 86 of Columbus died Thursday, September 13, 2007 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at St. Isidore Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Miksch will officiate. Visitation is Monday 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be a vigil held at 6:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning 8-10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery.



Alice Kunes was born April 24, 1921 in Columbus, Nebraska to Michael and Kathryn (Jarecke) Martys. She graduated from Kramer High School in 1939. She married John Kunes on August 6, 1942. Alice lived most of her life in Columbus where she raised her family. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. She was a Cubs Baseball fan.
