Alice Kreizinger

Alice S. Kreizinger, age 99, died Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the Columbus Community Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. on Monday, February 18, 2019 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus with Reverend Joseph A. Miksch officiating.  Visitation is 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday with a 3:00 p.m. C.D.A. Rosary and a 5:00 p.m. Vigil Service at McKown Funeral Home.  Visitation will continue Monday morning from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. at St. Isidore Church.  Burial is in the St. Mary's Cemetery in David City, Nebraska.

Alice Sylvia Kreizinger was born December 14, 1919 in Bellwood, Nebraska to W.J. and Bessie (Rech) Janky. She graduated from David City High School and received her teaching certificate from Midland College in Fremont. On June 7, 1945 she married L. Robert Kreizinger at Gowen Air Force Chapel in Boise, Idaho. The couple lived in Seward, Dodge and Butler counties. Alice worked at Safeway and Hinky Dinky and taught rural school. She also was a teacher's aide at St. Isidore Church. Alice and Bob volunteered as Eucharistic Ministers and delivered Meals on Wheels for Columbus Community Hospital. They spent 15 years traveling the United States and Canada in their 5th wheel camper. She was a member of St. Isidore Church, Christian Mothers, Catholic Daughters, Extension Club and V.F.W. Auxiliary. She also did volunteer work at Columbus Community Hospital.

She is survived by:

Daughter: Carol Cook of Columbus, NE
Daughter: Betsy (Mike) Bonk of Columbus, NE
Seven Grandchildren
