Alice Lilian Caldwell died October 23, 2011 at Morys Haven.
Lilian was born October 26, 1925 in Skinningrove, England to Alfred and Alice (Baldwin) Gell. She lived with her family in North Yorkshire, England. She entered the British Army during World War II. She came to the United States in 1947 (War Bride) and married Harry G. Caldwell in Grand Island, NE in 1948. The made their home in Doniphan, NE where they farmed and she did janitorial work at the school. Harry died in 1994 and she moved to Columbus in 2003. She loved decorating her home, garage sales, gardening and spending time with her daughter and son-in-law and her pets.
She is survived by her daughter Jo (Tim) Rowan, sisters Mary, June and Edna, brothers Keith, Dennis, Frank and Ron and families all living in various parts of England.
